The Soap Stand

Spring is in the air, and this month's Hidden Treasure may just bring unexpected joy to this year's Spring Cleaning. (yes, joy and cleaning can be used in the same sentence - keep reading).

The Soap Refill Station is a cool, locally owned, off the beaten path boutique that sells some of the best organic, sustainable products you'll find around Santa Fe. Their offerings include: Laundry, Dish, Household, Castille, Hair, Hand Care, Body Care, Lotion, Facial Care, Dental Care, Bar Soap, Pet Care, Zero Waste, Oil Bar, Containers, and Bath. The curated, minimalist design of the shop reminds me of Erin Wades' iconic Modern General Store located by her restaurant, Vinaigrette. All items are carefully chosen and thoughtfully presented.

The March HT tip is Toss no Mas!  Take in your (clean) empty household containers to Soap and refill them with your favorite product, or start fresh & buy a container there to use when you go back for refills. All products are sold by the ounce, and you can buy in bulk or smaller quantities. Their handmade bar soaps' fragrances smell heavenly, fresh and clean, and are silky smooth on the skin. Their sustainable, zero waste supplies are a game changer, particularly the scrubber brushes; the owner Amy swears that once you try one you'll never use anything else - I wholeheartedly agree.
